Choose Around The House when focus and data location matter most
Around The House is the stronger fit if you want a native Apple app, do not want another company account, and primarily need a dependable record of items, maintenance, warranties, receipts, service providers, reminders, and costs.
Its narrower scope is intentional. It does not try to become a connected banking, contractor marketplace, visual-design, or broad AI platform.
Choose HomeZada when you want a broader shared platform
HomeZada is likely the stronger fit when several people need separate logins, you want a web-accessible account, or you need its remodeling, financial, forecasting, professional, AI, or multi-property capabilities. Its free Essentials tier also provides an entry point for inventory and documents.
The privacy tradeoff is architectural
HomeZada says it encrypts customer data in transit and at rest, uses AWS hosting and backups, offers optional two-factor authentication, and does not sell customer data. It also states that no customer data is stored locally and that its privacy policy covers account, uploaded home, analytics, cookie, and optional AI processing data.
Around The House takes a different approach: no Around-and-manage account exists. Records remain inside the customer's Apple environment. Neither model is universally correct; choose based on the access, collaboration, feature, and data-location requirements of your household.
