Home maintenance reminders that remember what happened
A reminder is useful on the day a task is due. A home record is useful for years. Around The House connects the two: recurring work appears on your schedule, and completing it adds the result to that item's maintenance history.
Recurring maintenance needs a complete loop
Many household tasks repeat every month, season, or year. Putting them on a general to-do list can produce an alert, but it rarely preserves the completed work or connects it to the appliance or system involved.

The Schedule combines a calendar with the maintenance due on the selected day. Each reminder names the task, the item it belongs to, and its recurrence, so you can understand it without reconstructing the context.
Missed work remains visible as overdue. You can complete it, snooze it, edit it, or remove it when it no longer applies.
Start with what needs attention
Today summarizes overdue and upcoming work before showing the rest of the home. It is designed to answer a simple question: is there anything I need to deal with now?
On quiet days, the answer may be no. The app does not need to invent activity to justify being opened.
Useful reminders are specific
“Change filter” is less useful than a reminder connected to the furnace record containing the correct size, a photo of the installation direction, the last completion date, and the replacement receipt. The item supplies the context; the reminder supplies the timing.
Private reminders across your Apple devices
Around The House requires no separate account. Your home information remains on your devices and, when iCloud synchronization is enabled, in your private iCloud. The app runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac so the same schedule and history can be available where you need them.
